Life insurance has saved countless numbers of people, families, and even organizations from financial despair during tough times. Life insurance is one of the most under-rated and unrecognized hero’s in the financial space. Most likely because it doesn’t appear to be a hero until someone passes away. But it still shocks us that more families do not have the correct amount (or any at all) of life insurance. Below are some really scary facts that Limra released regarding life insurance:
- Three in 10 American households (35 million) are uninsured
- 50% (58 million) of American households say they need more life insurance
- Over half of Gen X and Gen Y households (30 million) need more life insurance
- The middle market (annual income between $35,000 and $100,000) represent the largest segment of uninsured households, with 50% (36 million) admitting they need more life insurance
